SummerSong Application

Application Deadline April 15, 2008

To apply for the SummerSong program you will need to complete a two-part process:

  1. Complete and submit the SummerSong online application.

  2. Send via surface/snail mail the following items in one packet:

    • One-page résumé
      Please include: educational background, institution, degree, dates, major, music instrument(s), training in voice and conducting, activities at current or past positions.

    • Sample tape or CD of liturgical music you have done.

    • Three letters of recommendation
      Applicant includes sealed/signed envelopes from recommender.

    Mail these items to:

Costs for the SummerSong Program

Thanks to a generous gift from Paluch/World Library of Sacred Music, all persons admitted to SummerSong 2008 will receive up to 50% of the tuition and housing. If you are selected as one of the fifty participants, you will receive the full application to the Notre Dame Graduate School and a $50 application fee will be assessed at that point. We encourage all successful applicants to seek collaborative assistance from the institution where they work. The fees for the summer, before scholarship reduction, are as follows:

1) Room/board

Housing:
Air-conditioned, single occupancy room - $205 per week
Air-conditioned, double occupancy room - $150 per week per person

Meal Plans (Meal plan week starts on Saturday):
21 meals - $140 per week. Full meal plan.
14 meals - $120 per week. Includes any combination of meals.
10 meals - $96 per week. Includes any combination of meals.
5 meals - $50 per week. Includes any combination of meals.

2) Tuition

Graduate students - $348 per credit hour, plus a general fee of $50.
