Publications
Two major resources and the books listed below are published by the Center:
Assembly
is a journal that addresses issues of liturgical
import for ongoing formation. Assembly explores the relationship between
Christian liturgy and Christian life. Currently edited by David W. Fagerberg,
it is published six times a year by Liturgy Training Publications (LTP).
If, as Sacrosanctum Concilium says, liturgy is the summit toward
which the Church's activity flows and the fount of her power, then we understand
liturgical life to be everything that leads up to and radiates from the
action of Christ with his assembled body at the altar. In that case, these
pages are interested not only in material about the eucharist, but about
everything that leads to the eucharist and follows from it. Liturgy concerns
everything in the life of the Church, in our personal lives, in the cosmos,
and in human history. These pages include material about history and ritual
and rubric, but liturgy is also about truth (catechesis, theology), beauty
(spirituality, aesthetics) and goodness (asceticism, social justice).
Former editors of Assembly include Nathan Mitchell, Mark Searle and John Leonard. Some Assembly articles are available to read online and a full list of Assembly Back Issues can be found online. Back issues are also arranged thematically in the Assembly Packets. Use the online NDCL Order Form to get printed back issues from the Notre Dame Center for Liturgy.
Liturgy

D. Mitchell, is a resource designed for educators, liturgists, pastoral ministers,
students and clergy who want to keep abreast of developments in the liturgical
